Gunpowder Green Tea has been made in China for well over a thousand years.  The tea leaves have been rolled into small pellets which helps the unfermented tea leaves withstand storage and transportation without undue breakage which could lead to unwanted oxidation or flavor loss.  It retains its flavor longer than other green teas and has more caffeine.  It has a bold and lightly smoky flavor.
